Juneteenth National Independence Day Act

Thursday, June 17, 2021

This afternoon, President Biden signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act, establishing June 19th as a legal public holiday. The first holiday will fall on Saturday, June 19, 2021, so the federal holiday will be observed on Friday, June 18, 2021.  We look forward to celebrating Juneteenth in years to come.  However, due to previously scheduled Court hearings and the short notice, all Court operations will continue as usual. The Court and Clerk’s Office will be open tomorrow in the normal fashion.  All hearings and deadlines scheduled for Friday, June 18, 2021, remain in effect.
