The United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee is pleased to welcome Lynda M. Hill as its newest United States Magistrate Judge. Magistrate Judge Hill was sworn in on July 22, 2026, in a private ceremony. Judge Hill’s term of office will begin on August 1, 2026, following the retirement of Magistrate Judge Barbara D. Holmes.
A public investiture will take place on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. Fred D. Thompson U. S. Courthouse and Federal Building, Courtroom 6B, located at 719 Church Street, Nashville, Tennessee 37203. A reception will follow. Members of the bar and the public are invited to attend.
