Proposed Changes to Local Rules
Notice for Public Comment - Local Rules Revisions: The United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee publishes for public comment notice of proposed changes to the Local Rules of Court. Revisions are proposed to conform the Local Rules to amendments to Fed. R. Civ. P. 6 and Fed. R. Crim. P. 45 regarding calculating time periods, to be effective December 1, 2009. In addition, Local Rule 80.01 is amended to clarify policy on obtaining transcripts of court proceedings, to be effective December 1, 2009. Finally, the previously separate Magistrate Judge Rules are proposed for incorporation into the Local Rules as LR 72.01 through 73.01 and LCrR 58.01 & 58.02, to be effective December 1, 2009.
