Payment Acceptance Information
- All checks & money orders should be made payable to: Clerk, U.S. District Court.
- Exact payment for services is required. The Clerk’s Office is not able to provide change for cash transactions, due to financial management policies established by the Administrative Office of the U. S. Courts.
- Personal checks are accepted for payment of criminal fines and special assessments.
- Personal and business checks for the payment of fees are accepted from attorneys and employees of attorneys, law firms, law students, and the press.
- Personal checks for the payment of fees are not accepted from pro se parties. Pro se parties are required to submit payment of fees via cashier’s check or money order.
- Personal and business checks are not accepted for criminal bonds. Payments for criminal bonds must be made by cash, money order, or cashier’s check.
- Third-party checks are not accepted.
